Northeast Internal Medicine has convenient onsite X-Ray services at our LaGrange office. The service is available by appointment with same day service.
What is an X-Ray?
An X-ray is a painless medical test that can help your doctor in diagnosis and treatment – even in emergency situations. It takes a picture of inside your body. It can let the doctor or Nurse Practitioner see your bones, lungs, heart or other body parts. It’s a fast, easy and safe way for your doctor to view and assess conditions ranging from broken bones to pneumonia to cancer.
What are your hours of operation?
The X-Ray department is open for outpatient services Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Do I need an appointment for an x-ray?
Yes. For general x-rays you need an order from your doctor. You will present the order; along with your ID and Insurance information to the receptionist.
Will staff taking my x-ray tell me the results?
The individual taking your x-ray is not permitted to comment on the x-ray. It is the responsibility of the technologist to take the X-rays and deliver these to the Radiologist. The Radiologist is a doctor who interprets the images.
How do I get the results of my x-ray?
Your x-ray(s) are read by a radiologist. The results are then recorded and sent to your family doctor and/or referring physician. You receive your results from your family doctor.
